Pravinchandra Mehta ( CEO)
Graduated in BE (Electrical) in 1985–a member IEEE, member CIGRE and member of National Study Committee (NSC) C4-CIGRE India. MIE (Chartered Engineer) . Having total experience of 29 yrs. (as on Apr 2015) in power sector specifically on transmission & distribution side.
He had offered services at MBH Power Pvt Ltd. Vadodara, EMCO Ltd Thane (Mumbai) and GETCO (state power transmission utility Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Ltd) He was achiever of the first performance award in GETCO for his contribution on Technical up gradation and standardization in 2008.
His expertise is mainly in substation and line design in general and specific on earthing design & lightning protection & system technical performance .During his tenure of services of various companies (specifically GETCO) many of the projects have won the award (for earlier completion) from Govt of India. He has presented many papers in International and National conferences. He is also involved in the training, research and development activities.
He has referred the technical specifications of substation and lines for many countries other than India,SriLanka, Kenya, Ethiopia, Mali, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Liberia, Tanzania, Vietnam.
National Study committee(NSC) C4 of CIGRE deals with the system technical performance covering the subjects- effect of geo magnetic disturbance on power system .effect of GIC (geomagnetic induced current) on transformers and reactors. Effect of insertion of wind and solar power with the conventional power grid system performance at the interfacing of HVDC and AC grid etc. Pravinchandra Mehta is involved in study of all these subject at National level (India) being a member of NSC and NSC expresses views/comments to International committee of CIGRE HQ Paris. He is presently offering the consultancy services for design of substation & lines, fault analysis, training and research activities to various companies.
